It’s Time for Some Fireworks!

Here’s our annual list of the 4th of July celebrations in the Madison, Wis., and Wisconsin Dells areas.

DeForest Area 4th of July Celebration July 3, Fireman’s Park Includes a car show, live music and free pony rides. Note the fireworks are held on July 3, not July 4.
Wisconsin Dells July 4, Wisconsin Dells Municipal Pool Best viewing at Maurer’s and the Bank of Wisconsin Dells parking lots
Monona Community Festival July 4, Winnequah Park Includes the Wisconsin Wife Carry Championship and an art fair
Shorewood Hills July 4, Blackhawk Country Club Includes a mini-triathlon, a children’s parade and an “east” vs. “west” softball game
Maple Bluff Fest on the Fourth July 4, Beach Park Includes a 5K run, community picnic and “Battle of the Bluffs” softball game
Waunaboom July 4, Ripp Park Includes live music, a petting farm and a junior tennis tournament
Stoughton Fair July 4, Mandt Park Includes tractor pulls, a strongman competition and a pizza-eating contest
Fitchburg Festival of Speed July 8, near the Agora Includes a 25-mile bike race, a 5K race and live music
