MrBeast Burger

MrBeast BurgerMrBeast Burger is a national ghost kitchen that launched late last year. In Madison, the franchise is located in the Perkins on Damon Road (near the intersection of Fish Hatchery Road and the Beltline).

If you’re not familiar with MrBeast, he is a YouTube star who is popular with the younger crowd (including kids).

The menu is fairly small. The main item is the Beast style ($7.49) burger, which has two smashed beef patties with cheese, diced onion, may, ketchup and mustard. I tried the version with only cheese, which was the Chandler style ($7.49), and I loved it. The patties tasted fresh off the griddle with the right level of greasiness.

If you want to take the Beast style up a notch, get the Chris style ($8.49). This burger is even more delicious because it also has bacon and fries on it.

Several of the other sandwiches were not as good. The patty in Karl’s deluxe patty melt ($6.49) was small, and the toast was very dry instead of buttery.

MrBeast BurgerThe Nashville hot chicken tender sandwich ($7.49) also was disappointing. While the chicken was tasty, the sauce was not spicy, and the sandwich came with two tiny pieces of chicken that filled less than half of the bun.

The Beast-style fries ($5.29) were messy and get soggy quickly with the ketchup, mustard, caramelized onions, cheese and pickles on top, but they were still enjoyable. in fact, this ensemble reminded me of a Big Mac in terms of flavor. Don’t order it if you live more than 10 min. from Perkin’s, or they won’t be crispy at all.

In Madison, you can order MrBeast Burger on UberEats or DoorDash.
