Madison-area guide to fireworks shows 2020

With most events canceled this summer, including community festivals, it’s not a surprise that almost every fireworks show in Dane County has been canceled. If you leave the county, you can find plenty of celebrations within a 90-min. drive of Madison. Here’s a status report for 2020:

Firemen’s Festival July 3, Cottage Grove STILL TAKING PLACE. New event from the Firemen’s Festival. You should be able to see the fireworks from anywhere in the city.

Wisconsin Dells July 4, Wisconsin Dells Municipal Pool STILL LISTED ON EVENT CALENDAR. Best viewing at Maurer’s and the Bank of Wisconsin Dells parking lots.
TUNDRA Racing July 4, Dells Raceway Park STILL TAKING PLACE. TUNDRA racing starts at 6 p.m.
Monona Community Festival July 4, Winnequah Park CANCELED ON MAY 4. Includes the Wisconsin Wife Carry Championship and an art fair
DeForest Area 4th of July Celebration July 4, Fireman’s Park CANCELED ON MAY 20. Includes a car show and free pony rides
Shorewood Hills July 4, Blackhawk Country Club CANCELED ON MAY 29. Includes a triathlon and adult water fight
Maple Bluff Fest on the Fourth July 4, Beach Park CANCELED. Includes a 5K and “Battle of the Bluffs” softball game
Waunaboom July 4, Ripp Park CANCELED ON JUNE 1. Includes live music, family activities and helicopter rides
Brooklyn July 4, Legion Park NO FIREWORKS. 2018 appeared to be the final year, as insufficient funds were raised in 2019.
Madison Mallards July 4, Warner Park SEASON CANCELED ON JUNE 24. Game time is 5:05 p.m.
Stoughton Fair July 5, Mandt Park CANCELED ON MAY 19. Includes tractor pulls and pizza-eating contest
Pepsi Nationals July 5, Angell Park Speedway CANCELED ON JUNE 11. Event will feature the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midgets
