I love this place. I've probably eaten here more than any other downtown place in recent years. The food is good, the atmosphere rocks, and you can't beat their Old Fashioneds. Yum!!!!

A restaurant serving "typical Wisconsin food". The menu reminds me of the best of supper clubs found throughout the state. The brunch was better than I expected using food from that weekends farmers market.

They serve a burger with an egg on it, need I say more

The Old Fashioned gets the food of supper clubs right (though of course more expensively), but gets so noisy (even on a weeknight) that I wouldn't recommend it for the family meals that supper clubs cater to. It's more of a good launching pad for a night out with your buddies.

My favorite restaurant in Madison. It's like a cousin of neighbor L'etoile as the focus is on local ingredients although The Old Fashioned puts a Wisconsin Super Club spin on everything. Great for brunch, lunch or dinner. Their burger, cheese curds and onion strings are the best in town.

Try a #30 burger. People LOVE it and keep going back for them.

My favorite burger in town is the Old Fashioned burger. Hands down. Garlic sauce on bacon and cheese with an egg on top. Self-basting deliciousness that makes a great dip for your fries. This thing is a work of art.

I was amazed to find out about this place to be very affordable, even though it is located right next to the Capitol. Although drinks are what I usually stop here for, I have had the chance to eat the house burger loaded with all the delighters...bacon, onion, and even an egg! All this for less than $10 for this prime location. Also, quench your thirst with their Creamy Old Fashioned bock!
