Wholesale Nuts and Dried Fruit

Wholesale NutsI had no idea that consumers could purchase bulk nuts and dried fruits, and so I accepted an offer to try such products from Wholesale Nuts and Dried Fruit.

Founder Matthew Baron launched the brand after a diabetes diagnosis led him to rethink the role of food in his life. While his company’s customers do include restaurants, hotel and caterers, everyday people can place a bulk order–you just have to be willing to purchase a minimum quantity of 10 lbs.

The shopping list at Wholesale Nuts and Dried Fruit is huge. Nuts include macadamia nuts, roasted and salted pistachios, smokehouse almonds and walnut pieces. I got to try the hazelnuts with skin ($88 for 10 lbs.), which were fine as-is and better with a little salt added to them.

I really enjoyed both the black raisins ($45 for 10 lbs.), which were plump and full of flavor, and the red tart cherries ($90 for 10 lbs.), which were perfectly sweet. I also found myself digging the calimyrna figs ($83 for 10 lbs.), as I don’t often have figs in raw form.

Other dried fruits include kiwi slices, organic apricots and pineapple rings. You also can order seeds like chia and flax as well as dried mushrooms like shiitake, but I didn’t try any of them.

Of note, the company offers a three-day money-back guarantee with a full refund if you have any issues with your product within three days of receiving it.
