Elephant Green Chili Chutney

Elephant Green Chili ChutneyI had no idea how versatile chutney was until after I accepted an offer to try Elephant Green Chili Chutney.

For example, I was sent a bag of potato chips with the chutney, and the chutney ($14.99 for a 9 oz. jar) turned out to be an excellent dip, on par with a salsa or a nacho cheese sauce. The label on the jar accurately describes the flavor: zesty, sweet and a little bit of heat. I think the touch of sweetness really helps make this chutney stand out from others.

A nice handwritten note I received mentioned putting the chutney on salmon. While I didn’t have the chance to do this, I did put the chutney on basically everything else, including pizza, pork, roasted potatoes and various vegetables. The chutney complements anything well.

The company was founded by a mother and daughter duo who wanted to bring their chutney to every table. It is crafted in Connecticut in small batches using just six clean ingredients, including secret signature green chilis, coconut and cilantro. The chutney is vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, Keto-friendly and Star-K Kosher certified.

In Madison, you can purchase Elephant Green Chili Chutney at Brennan’s Market.
