As a martini fan, I want to love Blue Velvet. They mix a mean one. But even a good martini can't entirely make up for the meager, shrinking appetizer list, and the cheesy fake fire.

The Blue Velvet is the best place to go downtown, to get away from the annoyingly loud college crowd. They have $5 martini's nightly til 10 i think. 2 full pages of all different martinis, and 12 micro/import beers on tap : ) the music also makes it a very nice place to chill...
