Love the downtown version of this place! There's a gorgeous patio outside, a room downstairs if you want to have a private party and I'm a huge fan of their artichoke dip. Relaxed atmosphere - more of a jeans and cute shirt place than black going-out pants place.

Honestly one of my favorite places to eat and drink. They have by far my favorite burger in town, which is the Texarkana burger. It's spicy, sweet, smoky, salty and seriously delicious!

The Great Dane is undeniably a part of the Madison scene. The beer garden is shady and beautiful (especially in spring), and the beer is quite good (don't miss the genuine, low-carbonation, room-temperature cask conditioned ales, especially Black Watch Scotch). The brat and bacon pretzel burger is great, though the food at the Fitchburg location is more consistently good.

The Great Dane is by far my favorite place to eat in Madison. Get the nachos - they're delicious(and enormous). Their Dane burger, topped with artichoke dip, is the best burger in Madison!

The Great Dane is the best place to eat in Madison because of its amazing variety. Usually when you think of a brew pub, you don't think of much more than burgers/sandwiches and fries but the Dane offers everything from tortellini to burritos to tandoori chicken and jerk chicken with pineapple salsa. And it's all good too!
Back to those burgers - great. A great variety (my favorite is the Dane burdget: topped with artichoke dip) but they also have brat & bacon, cheddar/bbq/bacon & crispy onions plus Black & Tan with cheddar!

The Great Dane not only has one of THE best burgers in town (The Dane Burger...topped with artichoke dip...YUM!), but it also has a cool atmosphere and obviously awesome beer. I highly recommend!

One of my favorite restaurants! They are constantly adding new items to the menu, and they have a wide variety of dishes- all great. Love this place, good beer too.
