However, with the restaurant’s excellent selection of sandwiches, I could see it opening more locations someday.

On the menu are 16 sandwiches served hot and toasted, and any of them can be made into a wrap. As an obvious first choice, I got the namesake Tommy Salami ($9.25), which was stacked with pastrami, salami, pepperoni, red peppers and gouda cheese. I enjoyed it, though I wish that the meat was more evenly spread out, as some bites had a ton and some had none.

The Santa Fe Hit ($9.25) also had a lot going for it, with sliced chicken, pepper jack cheese, avocado and corn relish. In every bite, you are greeted with multiple flavors that meshed well together.

I also liked the relatively simple Hot Ham Hit ($8.95), which was served on a soft ciabatta roll. Meanwhile, the Godfather ($8.95), made of a surprisingly tasty combo of salami, ham, turkey and mozzarella, used white bread that was put in a waffle maker.

I converted the Crunch Capo ($9.99) into a wrap. The fried jalapeno chips added depth in terms of texture and a little heat to the turkey, bacon, avocado and pepperjack cheese. Still, it needed more of the chipotle ranch.

By the way, you can make any sandwich into a combo with chips, potato salad or coleslaw, plus a drink.

The salads ($12.49) here are huge. The Family Secret was a solid choice for its chicken, bacon, eggs, gorgonzola and tomatoes, plus potato straws for a wonderful crunch.

Among the soups ($4.99 for a cup, $7.50 for a bowl), I tried the chicken tortilla, which was super creamy and full of white meat but a little bland, and the tomato bisque, which was perfectly seasoned and hearty.

Tommy Salami’s is open for lunch and dinner every day.

Tommy Salami’s is a new sandwich shop that replaces McAlister’s Deli in Lake Delton.

[3
227,68
post-9933","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-restaurant-reviews","tag-lake-delton","tag-sandwiches
["GET
