\"TeriyakiI was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed\u00a0Teriyaki Madness<\/a>, which recently opened a location on the far west side of Madison, its second location in the state.<\/p>\n

The menu is comprised of several bowls with a variety of toppings (mostly chicken) and customization options. You also can order the toppings as standalone sides.<\/p>\n

I loved the steak bowl ($13.19 for regular, $11.79 for junior, $15.19 for large). The steak was tender and had the right amount of teriyaki sauce to allow the grilled flavor to shine through. For my customizations, I got all broccoli (+$1.25) instead of a mix of vegetables, and I replaced the white rice with noodles (+$1), which had a good lo mein approximation.<\/p>\n

\"TeriyakiI wanted to see how this place does with salmon, and I’d say the piece I got in my bowl ($13.69 regular-sized only) was fine. It certainly could have been more tender and probably needed more teriyaki sauce, but it wasn’t the worst piece of fish I’ve ever eaten. For this bowl, I replaced the white rice with fried rice ($1.25) and thought it was quite tasty.<\/p>\n

Other toppings include orange chicken, which I got as a side ($9.19). It was very good, with an ideal breading-to-chicken ratio and well-coated in the sauce, even though most pieces were small.<\/p>\n

I also liked the tofu ($7.69 as a side). Each cube was perfectly fried and had a good drizzle of the teriyaki sauce. Spicy versions of the tofu and orange chicken are also available.<\/p>\n

Among the appetizers, the chicken eggroll ($2.49) was excellent. It was deliciously crispy and had a ginger flavor to it.<\/p>\n

I also recommend the chicken potstickers ($5.39). They had plenty of meat inside a nicely fried shell.<\/p>\n
