The result is a coffee that is smoother and less acidic than traditional hot-brewed coffee because the cold water extracts fewer bitter compounds from the grounds.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s our obsessive attention to the details along every step of the process that sum up to a great product,&#8221; Bizzy Cold Brew Co-Founder and CEO Alex French said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The long brewing time also leads to more caffeine, and I noticed the extra kick from just one cup. Depending on the variety, each 12-oz. serving has 234 mg to 302 mg of caffeine, compared to about 144 mg. in a regular coffee.<\/p>\n<p>The cold brew ($6.89 for a 48 oz. bottle) comes in six types, and I tried three of them.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I enjoyed the Breakfast Blend, which is a lighter roast. It&#8217;s not sweet but does have a slight fruity note to it.<\/li>\n<li>The medium roast had a nice hazelnut aroma. If you&#8217;re a coffee drinker, then you&#8217;ll love this one.<\/li>\n<li>My favorite was the Espresso Blend.
