Noah’s Ark<\/a>\u00a0opens for the season on Saturday. New this year is a four-person raft ride into vivid lights and dynamic sound called Chameleon. The park also is now cashless. Enjoy a variety of food types, treats, drinks and live music while overlooking the river.<\/li>\n
- The Wilderness finished renovating its Wild West waterpark<\/a> in November, with new rides Warped Wagons and Twisted Trails. It also added a swim-up bar called YeeHaw’s Watering Hole<\/a>.<\/li>\n
- The new Elm Street Plaza<\/a> downtown will have free live music every day during Memorial Day weekend.<\/li>\n
- Timbavati Wildlife Park<\/a> is a surprisingly big zoo and a fun place to feed animals. You can now schedule 20-min. meet-and-greets with a red panda or a sloth<\/a>.<\/li>\n
- Big Sky Drive-In Theatre<\/a> is now open for the season (warning: it’s cash-only).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Lake Geneva area<\/strong><\/p>\n

Who’s up for a safari? A few miles southeast of Lake Geneva is\u00a0Safari Lake Geneva<\/a>, which allows you to get up close and personal with zebras, giraffes, camels and other animals.\u00a0Photo from Safari Lake Geneva website<\/em><\/li>\n- Magpie’s Den & Pen, which is less than two years old, will have a Summer Kickoff party<\/a> Friday and Saturday.<\/li>\n
- Earlier this month, Grand Geneva Resort & Spa announced the completion of the renovation of its guest rooms and suites<\/a>. It will begin its weekly fireworks display<\/a> on Sunday.<\/li>\n
- The\u00a0Lake Lawn Resort<\/a> in Delavan will host its annual Pig Roast<\/a>, complete with indoor and outdoor entertainment on Sunday. There’s also a new restaurant on site called 1878 on the Lake<\/a>.<\/li>\n
- The Burlington Jamboree<\/a> takes place Friday through Monday and features a midway, a rock-n-circus and live music. On your way there, stop at Fred’s<\/a> for “the world’s best burgers.”<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

- If you want to go tubing, you can’t go wrong with Wisconsin Riverside Resort<\/a> in Spring Green, S&B Tubing<\/a> in Albany or Sandy Shores<\/a> in Mauston. Warning: water levels are very high this year!<\/li>\n
- For distilleries, visit\u00a0Blaum Bros. Distilling<\/a> in Galena, Ill., Driftless Glen<\/a> in Baraboo or Minhas<\/a> in Monroe.<\/li>\n
- For breweries, I like Hillsboro Brewing. Co<\/a> in Hillsboro, Tyranena<\/a> in Lake Mills and Potosi Brewery in Potosi<\/a>, which also houses the ABA National Brewery Museum (definitely worth checking out).<\/li>\n
- Baileys Run Vineyard<\/a> in New Glarus is a trendy place, and it will have live music on Memorial Day weekend.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
