\"20210102_181241\"I have to say,\u00a0Madtown Chicken n’ Fish<\/a> does a good job of living up to its name. If you have a craving for some fried foods, this is the place to go, and you can find locations on Raymond Road and Sherman Avenue.<\/p>\n

Every day is fish fry here, and you can choose catfish, cod, shrimp (popcorn), perch and tilapia.\u00a0The breading of the catfish strips ($6.99 for four, $11.49 for eight) tastes like KFC original recipe and surrounds a tender filet. Overall, the catfish was delicious, but I like heat, so I added my own hot sauce to it to further my enjoyment. You also can get the catfish as whole filets and as nuggets.<\/p>\n

Moving onto the chicken, which I tried in the form of wings ($4.49 for three all the way to $12.49 for 12). They were\u00a0big, moist and meaty–all that you can ask for. In other words, it’s really good fried chicken. Madtown also offers chicken nuggets, tenders, thighs & legs and gizzards.<\/p>\n

Several non-fish and chicken items on the menu caught my eye.\u00a0The pizza puffs ($4.79) are like giant Totino’s pizza rolls, except they use a lot of dough for a puff pastry, and the inside resembles the meat sauce for lasagna. Still, they’re incredibly enjoyable and even better once I dipped it in my own ranch sauce.<\/p>\n

\"20210102_181251\"I know this is weird to say, but the gyros fries ($8.99) were delicious but a bit disappointing. Instead of tzatziki sauce, the fries are smothered in nacho cheese (yum!), and I would have liked some diced onions or tomatoes. You do get plenty of shredded gyro meat, though.<\/p>\n

As a final test of the restaurant’s breadth of items, the burger passed with flying colors. Even though the patties were a little dry in the double cheeseburger ($7.49), they still were tasty, especially inside the brioche-like bun. Fair warning, the burgers are drowned in ketchup, mustard and shredded lettuce, so tell them to go light.<\/p>\n

Madtown Chicken n’ Fish is open for lunch and dinner daily.<\/p>\n
