Its compact menu features mostly tacos and an assortment of stews.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Over the past five months, we&#8217;ve seen many restaurants add online ordering capabilities, but Enrique&#8217;s doesn&#8217;t have a website, nor is it partnered with a delivery service such as Uber Eats or EatStreet. So, you will have to make a visit to see the menu.<\/p>\n<p>You can&#8217;t go wrong with any of the tacos ($2-$3 each), which come with your choice of meat plus onions and cilantro on a corn tortilla. Here are notes on the ones I got:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The carne asada was flavorful and quite tender.<\/li>\n<li>The pollo was a little dry but\u00a0nothing a little hot sauce couldn&#8217;t fix.<\/li>\n<li>The barbacoa was juicy and succulent&#8211;I could\u00a0have eaten a pound of it straight up.<\/li>\n<li>The carnitas also were juicy and slightly greasy from being deep-fried (it didn&#8217;t bother me at all).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The same meats are used for the tortas ($10.50) and the burritos ($10.50). Just out of curiosity, I ordered the chicken wings ($7.99 for six, $9.99 for eight and $11.99 for 10). They were perfectly crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I wouldn&#8217;t order them again only because they were pricey.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-6271\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eatdrinkmadison.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/20200812_173508-300x233.jpg\" alt=\"20200812_173508\" width=\"300\" height=\"233\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.eatdrinkmadison.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/20200812_173508-300x233.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.eatdrinkmadison.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/20200812_173508-768x595.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.eatdrinkmadison.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/20200812_173508-1024x794.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>The final section on the menu is guisado (stew), which comes with refried beans and rice for $12.99. The first one I ordered was the pipian rojo. The chunks of pork were tender, and the creamy red sauce was well-seasoned with spices for a slight kick.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the sauce for the mole poblano had a deep, earthy flavor.\u00a0On top of the tender chicken drumsticks, it made for a delicious dinner (I also poured the sauce over the rice).
