For the second year in a row, a few more annual Oktoberfest events in the area bit the dust, as Verona’s Hometown Brewdown (now folded into another event) and Sun Prairie’s Fall Beer Taste aren’t returning. However, we do have a few new events this year, and the Essen Haus’ Oktoberfest is back. Oddly, we also have several events taking place in October, which is the wrong month for Oktoberfest.<\/p>\n

Here’s a look at the Madison, WI-area Oktoberfest parties this month. Excluded from this list are minor events that aren’t doing a true celebration.
